Handmaid of the Lord

Reflections

In our lives, every one of us has a dream, and whether that dream is large or small it is still something pure and beautiful in each person. Even so, each of us has a different dream: one wishes to be a doctor, another to be a teacher…..

As for me, I have only one dream — to become a religious sister, so as to serve God and my neighbour. I know that to become a sister I must love God and love others, and must give up everything in order to serve him; even so, I will do my best to reach it. It makes me glad and happy that benefactors come to encourage, to share with and to help those in difficulty, those in circumstances such as ours. I am very happy that the brothers and sisters of the Our Lady of La Vang Scholarship Fund came to share with us and to encourage us, so that we might have the strength of will to press on with our studies.

That day we were able to talk with them, to have supper with them, and then to hold a campfire and to pray together with our parish priest, and to enjoy rice wine. It was a day to remember in my life.

I thank God for bringing these brothers and sisters to us, and I also thank our parish priest, who has supported us so warmly and has urged us always to live in a spirit of fellowship. And now I do not know what more to say, except to offer my thanks to the brothers and sisters of the Our Lady of La Vang Scholarship Fund, to our parish priest, and my thanksgiving to God.
